Mandate

  • To provide advisory service with regard to crop production, protection, Soil health and Agriculture marketing through its wide spread extension network.
  • To bridge gap between farmers and Agriculture Research.
  • To regulate supply of inputs like seed, fertilizer and pesticides.
  • To promote and enhance agriculture productivity through Extension service.

Set up of Agriculture Extension (Excluding OFWM)

  • Directorate General at provincial level with supporting Directorates of Adaptive Research, information, Planning, Plant Protection, Procurement and Supplies, Floriculture, Seed, Farms, In-Service Academy,  Soil Fertility and Economics & Marketing.    
  • Divisional Directors at Divisional level.
  • Deputy Director of Extension, Soil Fertility and Plant Protection etc at District level.
  • Agriculture Officers at tehsil level.
  • Field Assistant and Belders at union council level.
